Whether in France or abroad, successful research programs are chosen to improve knowledge and develop multidisciplinary synergies between research teams. This results in the award of research grants, funding for specific programs, facilitation of collaborative research space (including the Institute of Psychiatry).
To help better manage their mental health of patients and that of their families, upstream (prevention) and downstream (treatment), the Foundation provides information tools avaible to all. It participates in trade shows and events (Mad Days, Information Weeks on mental health, living with depression ...), implements tools or information programs (website, call center for FILharmonie educators, supports the ProFamille program - training for families of people with mental disorders ...) and forms partnerships with associations of patients, families, students, to allow access for all to Information on mental health.
Our combat is fighting against discrimination, refuting misinformation and ending the stigma attached to mental disorders. Because mental imbalances are frightening they further increase the suffering of patients and families and often delay care giving for the disorder. The Foundation struggles to change the attitudes of society concerning mental disorders. This action over the long term leverages psychiatrists, as well as patients and their families, through improved communication, media relations, conferences and testimonials from doctors, patients and families.
